Sue is an Owen Sound artist and holds a BA and BEd in Visual Arts. She taught for the Bluewater Board for over 20 years. Sue is a member of the Studio XX Group of Painters and has exhibited her paintings in several galleries in the area and on banners along the Owen Sound harbour for several years.


Sue has a home on the Sydenham River and receives much of her inspiration from the surrounding environment. She works mainly in acrylics from her own photographs and the beauty and splendour of nature is reflected in her peaceful and detailed paintings of wildlife and the Canadian landscape.

    This is a representational painting of a belted kingfisher that I photographed while it was fishing along the Sydenham River beside our property in Owen Sound.

All proceeds from the sales go directly to support the conservation and education projects related to bird species at risk and protection of bird habitat on the Bruce Trail Conservancy Nature Reserves and along the Bruce Trail on the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula. We cannot offer refunds or returns for any reason.
