If you are new to hiking, new to hiking the Bruce Trail or are uncomfortable hiking alone
we may have a Peninsula Pal for you.
Local members of the Peninsula Club have volunteered to lead hikes for families, small groups, couples and individuals on the Bruce Trail. Select from one of the several favourite loop options or let us know what your wish list hike looks like.
Most leaders have completed the Hike Ontario Leadership program and a First Aid course. Other volunteers are experienced hike leaders and will be participating in the formal training courses when available. Since the Hike Leaders are busy volunteers, plenty of lead time and flexibility in your hiking choices are the best ways to find a match. An available Hike Leader is not guaranteed.
As well as hiking “this ribbon of wilderness” it is an opportunity to learn about the Bruce Trail Conservancy and the work done by the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club in the section between Wiarton and Tobermory.
This project is a club fundraiser and a donation to the Bruce Trail Conservancy would be appreciated. A charitable tax receipt is available for amounts over $10.00.
