Thank you for considering volunteer work with PBTC. PBTC has a variety of tasks that should be done to acquire and maintain an excellent and safe trail. Some tasks only require a relatively small amount of your time while others require more time. Whether you are a permanent resident of the Bruce Peninsula, are a vacation property owner on "The Bruce" or you camp or rent on the Peninsula on a regular basis, we would appreciate your offer of help. Listed below are some of the volunteer jobs that are available.
Prerequisite: Folks that love hiking and people. No leadership experience is required. We will coach and train you – we have a Hike Leader Guideline. Currently, there is a small, dedicated core of people in the PBTC that provide excellent leadership on our scheduled group hikes. We need to continue to build our hike leader group in order to develop hike leadership for now and into our future. Our membership is growing! Our challenge is to provide a variety of hike opportunities and we need people to lead them. Contact: John Whitworth 1- 519-836-7245. For e-mail contact information, please see the executive list (PDF).
To volunteer to help maintain an existing trail section contact Walter Brewer at 1-416-762-2353. For e-mail contact information, please see the executive list (PDF). To obtain a better concept of trail work please read the How To Maintain a Trail web page.
