In May 1998 , Ted Roberts and a group of helpers completed the staircase down the cliff at Sydney Bay (around km 34). This replaced the old and dangerous ladder on the "Ladder Nature Trail", and resulted in such a reroute that the former blue-blazed side trail is now the main trail. Some of the most dramatic views of the Bruce Trail are to be found here. Ted also constructed the staircase at Devil's Monument. Thanks, Ted, for donating your talent with steel, and your time. It's great to have you as a member of the Club!
