Park at Rush Cove, walk East (BT South) to Cape Dundas; take the Pease Side Trail to make a partial loop then main trail back to Rush Cove. High-lights: water access, shelving rock at Rush Cove, ascending to lookouts on the escarpment top at Cape Dundas. (total length 10 km). Directions: from County Rd 9 (accessed at Lion’s Head OR North of Wiarton) turn EAST on Scenic Caves Road, North on Rush Cove Rd., BT parking at the end of the road.

Optional: Barrow Bay Side Trail (accessed from Rush Cove Rd.) – scramble from the escarpment top down to the rock beach & back. (5 km). Not recommended in wet weather due to slippery rocks.
From Main St. turn EAST on Moore St., park at BT parking lot (approx 1km – on your right). Hike through forest, then along high cliffs to Lion’s Head Point, descend to rocky beach at McKay’s Harbour; climb back to the escarpment top, then follow the main trail to Ilse Hanel Side Trail, which returns to the parking lot (16 km) . For a slightly shorter hike, make a partial loop using the Inland Side Trail.
From Head of Trails, Take either Marr Lake OR Georgian Bay Trail (1 km) to the shoreline; explore either direction along high cliffs / escarpment edge; returning the same way. Excellent swimming at the Grotto (don’t enter the water if there is high surf) NOTE: the grotto is very busy during summer, especially on weekends. Directions: from Hwy #6, follow Cyprus Lake Road into the Bruce National Park office (entry fee payable), then on to Head of Trails parking.
